caitlin elizabeth photography | adrienne ~ william and mary senior | williamsburg portrait photographer

adrienne.

i don't even know where to begin this post.

i guess i should start with a gargantuan THANK YOU.
thank you for waking up at the crack of dawn to sit in dewy grass and discuss the finer things of our existence: being happy.
thank you for reminding me why i love this so much.
thank you for being as beautiful and awe-inspiring inside as you are out.

you're so full of life and energy - really a force to be reckoned with.
your infectious laughter and self-less nature are over-whelming.
and your abilities to understand and relate go unmatched.

not to mention the fact that you're drop. dead. gorgeous.

so thank you.

for frolicking with me.

and for reminding me why.

~

i was PUMPED when adrienne contacted me after i advertised for my william and mary mini sessions. but i was even MORE thrilled when she said 'but i don't want a mini session - i want the full on caitlin elizabeth photography experience' - this is my kind of woman ;)  mini sessions are great, but full portrait sessions give us a little more time to get comfortable and to really explore you as a subject.  it's amazing the variety of images that i get out of a full portrait session as opposed to a mini session!

i just had to start off this post with a black and white - because to me black and whites make you truly focus on the subject.
you aren't distracted by the green of the background or the poppin' color of her accessories,
instead you have to look at her.
it simplifies the complicated.
and draws your attention where it's truly warranted:

mama was in the room while i formatted these for the blog post - she kept saying: she's just so pretty.

and she's right - you are absolutely breath-taking!

and adorable.

I DIE. seriously. those eyes!!

no w&m session is complete without a few posed photos with the man who made UVA possible:

and then she let her hair down ;) LAWD have mercy!

and i will end with this - because it really encompasses adrienne:
beauty in its truest and simplest form...
no fussy posing or unnatural embellishments.
just pure, unadulterated gorgeousness radiating from her very existence.

caitlin elizabeth photography | why i stay BEHIND the camera

jennifer of warthan farms photography took some head shots of me a little over a month ago,
but generally i try and stay BEHIND the camera.

why?

^ case. in. point.

these were snapped by dex this past weekend before the spring football game at william and mary - i was in town doing MINI SESSIONS for william and mary seniors (sneak peeks are posted on facebook!) and here's a couple to tide you over until i get the rest out:

caitlin elizabeth photography | william and mary mini sessions | william and mary graduation portraits | williamsburg, virginia senior portrait photographer

if you know me at all, you know that i've got some SERIOUS tribe pride :) i graduated from william and mary last spring (class of '11 - hark!) and it's crazy to think that i was partaking in commencement ceremonies this time last year (well, almost a year ago. it's still a little early).

[one of my favorite tribe seniors from last year - melanie]

current tribe seniors just purchase caps and gowns - the reality of soon joining the alumni ranks beginning to set in. *really, it doesn't hit you until august when you're supposed to be moving into dorms in 105 degree heat with 98% humidity and you find yourself sitting in an office and wishing to see those 'sweating for you shirts' while longing for your RA to at least help you a little ;)

BUT what this post is really about has to do with documenting this time and experience for william and mary's class of 2012.  i've received countless emails and facebook messages asking if i was available for graduation portraits this year - and i'm excited to announce that I AM and i'll be offering MINI SESSIONS on the william and mary campus to better accommodate my beloved TRIBE seniors!

[miss tracy gayle - class of 2010]

mini sessions will be Saturday April 14 and Sunday April 15 and are $75 each and include 20 minutes of shooting time and up to 5 high resolution images with unlimited printing rights - session times reserved upon receipt of payment and availability of requested time slot (it's a first come first serve basis y'all - snatch up your preferred time quick).  if you are late, time will be deducted accordingly so try to be on time! i know how feisty those bricks are in heels... so leave a little early ;) mini sessions are for current william and mary seniors only - one person per time slot please!

your images will also be uploaded onto an online gallery where professional prints are available for purchase - contact me directly for more information!

if you're interested or have any more questions please do not hesitate to email me at: caitlin@caitlinelizabethphotography.com or you can facebook me
:)

 [ravali - class of 2011]

can't wait to see you at the w&m
