caitlin elizabeth photography | shannon - william and mary senior | williamsburg portrait photographer

one of the things that really captivates me about william and mary is that it is what i consider the PERFECT size - when folks would ask me whether or not i thought the school was too big or too small my answer was always (now, i'm still convinced i should've been a tour guide - so this was my 'tour guide' answer): william and mary is small enough that you will always see someone you know on your way to class (or in your class), but large enough that you can meet someone new every day - to me, that is the PERFECT size!

so, while i didn't know shannon while i was AT william and mary, i'm SO GLAD i got to meet her and document this monumental point in her life.  shannon, i hope exams are going well! it's almost over :)

shannon's mama has had her in front of the camera all her life, so she wasn't shy, and started rocking out as soon as we hit the bricks:

also: she's precious. just sayin.

by the time i got to shannon's session i had pretty much figured out the hood for the cap and gown - but then she goes and throws in this tassel thing!! it was a special cord for being a member of delta delta delta!

these were taken at the very end of our session - i love the bricks at william and mary - they hold so many memories and secrets... stories and tales of eras long gone. if only they could talk!

shannon, good luck in all you do :)
